Balcony Weather Station
Fourteen days without sun and it still reports.
Why
The forecast for the city never matched the balcony. I wanted my own numbers, and an excuse to finally solder something that lives outdoors.
How it's built
An ESP32-C3 wakes every ten minutes, reads a BME280, sends the values over Wi-Fi and goes back to sleep at 38 µA. A 1 W panel keeps an 18650 cell topped up.
What went wrong
Morning dew pushed humidity to 100 % for hours. A printed radiation shield with seven stacked plates fixed it.
